Bleeding Gums or Mouth for Donna Families
Bleeding gums and mouth bleeds are one of the walk-in reasons we see most often at the Donna office on East Highway 2, just east of the Victoria Palms area and a short drive from the Donna-Rio Bravo International Bridge. Families along FM 493 and the colonias north of Business 83 often wait on gum bleeding until it's spontaneous at the dinner table — by then the soft-tissue picture has usually shifted from early gingivitis into something that needs hands-on hemostasis, not another reminder to floss.
We also see post-extraction bleeds from patients who had work done across the valley in McAllen or Weslaco and couldn't get back in the chair before their clot failed. Because so many households here run on a spouse's PPO with a shared annual max, we keep the evaluation tight: stop the bleed first, identify whether it's local or systemic, and only then talk about a periodontal plan that fits inside this year's benefits.
