Bleeding Gums or Mouth for Alamo Families
Bleeding gums and persistent mouth bleeding show up often at our Alamo office on W. Duranta Ave., just off Business 83 between the Alamo Gateway and the Donna-Alamo line.
Families in 78516 — many coming from the colonias north of Expressway 83 and the neighborhoods behind Alamo Middle School — tend to wait on gum bleeding because it feels like "just brushing too hard." In the Valley, it's also common after a weekend extraction when a patient went back to yard work or a brisket cook too soon and the clot let go. We see post-extraction re-bleeds, spontaneous gingival bleeds tied to uncontrolled periodontal disease, and anticoagulant-related bleeding in older relatives on warfarin or apixaban.
Because we're open until 7 PM weeknights and Saturdays until 4, most Alamo and Donna families can come straight from Alamo ISD pickup or an HEB run on Tower Road without rescheduling work.
