Enhanced Infection Detection, Control, and Protection Allow Company to Safely Operate & Continue Serving Patients

Today, Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics, a Texas-based company with 25 locations across Texas, announced an alliance with Infection Control Consulting Services (ICCS) to keep patients & staff safe during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“Since our founding in 2008, our number one core value has been ‘Patient Safety is Paramount,'” says Rodeo Founder & Dentist Dr. Saam Zarrabi D.D.S. “We are committed to building and operating state-of-the-art sterile facilities while adhering to, or exceeding, the highest State and Federal regulatory guidelines. Our alliance with ICCS allows us to honor that commitment in this unprecedented time to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.”

Rodeo has adopted a rigorous 5-part strategy to operate safely: education and awareness, patient screening process, advanced cleaning/sterilization protocols, enhanced PPE equipment and mandatory COVID-19 testing for all staff. Education and awareness mean keeping up to date with the latest findings and recommendations from the CDC, OSHA, ADA, and TSBDE as well as maintaining weekly all-hands briefings and dedicated COVID-response teams. To prevent transmission, the Rodeo team is enforcing strict PPE use, minimizing patient touchpoints, adhering to the highest standards of sterilization, and working with dedicated infection control specialists. Each day, the Rodeo team maintains rigorous screenings for both employees and patients along with regular and on-demand or as-needed testing for all staff. Finally, Rodeo, in alliance with ICCS, has put into place a comprehensive remediation plan should any COVID-exposures occur. This remediation plan includes deep cleaning protocols and internal office fogging (a real-time solution to decontaminate an area or office after a confirmed COVID-19 exposure).

“I’m so grateful to ICCS founder Phenelle Segal and her expert team,” says Dr. Zarrabi. “She and many of her team members are FAPIC-credentialled, which means they’re really at the top of their game when it comes to evidence-based infection prevention and control programs. We know that dental care is truly essential to living a healthy life, and with these plans and protections in place, we’re confidently able to safely serve our family of patients.”

All Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics are currently accepting appointments for any and all dental care needs. Patients can call their local office to schedule or visit the Rodeo Dental website to set up a new patient appointment.
